Coimbatore: The Coimbatore District Collector, G S Sameeran urged Government employees, companies and restaurants affiliated to them to buy vegetables from the Farmers' Market (Uzhavar Sandhai) to support farmers.
"There about seven Farmers' Markets in the city of Coimbatore. Increasing the arrival of farmers' produce to local markets and increasing the sale of vegetables from such places will encourage agriculture extensively.
