Tirupur Exports Association President, Raja M Shanmugam offers free training and placement opportunities for those above 18, under the Central Govt's Samarth Scheme
Tiruppur: The Central Government has announced the Samarth Scheme to benefit people above the age of 18 who hail from various districts and states and to be trained in skill development and obtain jobs in knitwear units.
The scheme was introduced two years ago with no proper training program due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Tirupur Exports Association is now being guided by the Central Government to train 16,500 people. In line with the given guidelines, the President of the Tirupur Exports Association, Raja M Shanmugam has beckoned people above the age of 18 for free training and placement opportunities.
The scheme will provide the trainees with subsidy, a certificate for training and job opportunity after the 45-day training period. It will also help deal with the problem of shortage of workers and the differently-abled will also be trained accordingly with employment opportunities assured for them.
