Organizers state that around 50 will be placed by the end of the day
Coimbatore: An employment camp is being conducted at the Corporation Kalaiarangam, Coimbatore to help the specially challenged people to get jobs. The camp is an initiative jointly conducted by the Coimbatore Corporation and an NGO, in which 25 have been placed and offered the appointment order so far.

The organizers stated that 50 will be placed by the end of the day’s programme.
Over 100 candidates, (both hearing impaired and speech impaired) showed up at the employment camp. Private companies recruited the candidates they found eligible. Coimbatore District Collector, Sameeran who attended the camp, issued appointment orders to those selected for the job.

“A permanent help center is to be set up from the 1st of September, that looks after the employment for the differently-abled in companies.”, stated the collector
“The camp is a beneficial initiative taken up by the collector. It has helped us earn for the family and has helped battle financial struggles during this pandemic”, said the candidates.
