Coimbatore: A women's group on behalf of the Aikkiya Communist Party of India staged a protest in front of the Udumalai Chief Post Office in Tirupur district, demanding the fulfillment of demands including the removal of encroachments in all areas under the Udumalai municipality, to reduce the price of gas cylinders that affect the public and prevent the rise in petrol and diesel prices and that the coronavirus vaccine should be made available to the public without hindrance and road maintenance in the Thangammal odai area should be completed quickly.

A group of protesters stormed in a rally on Friday, removing hundreds of protesters by truck. The protest was attended by more than 100 people, including District Secretary Murthy, District Secretary of the Unorganized Workers Union Gunasekaran and Tamil Cultural Leader Vipal Narayanan.
