Coimbatore: Unidentified men broke into an auditor's house in the city's Cheran Ma Nagar area and looted jewellery from the home in the absence of residents.
Muthamilselvan (51), the son of Thillai Nadarajan from Cheran Ma Nagar area works as an auditor. On returning with his family from his hometown Thanjavur, Muthamilselvan was shocked to find that the lock on the front door of his house was broken. Upon entering his house, he found that silver lamps, silver bowls, silver plates, silver coins, gold earrings and gold jewellery stored in the wardrobe had been looted.
Muthamilselvan lodged a complaint with the Peelamedu police. A case has been registered by the police and an investigation is underway.
