Coimbatore Government Hospital doctors removed a broken needle stuck in a woman's hand

Sanjana was admitted to the Chad Government Maternity Hospital in Ooty on the 4th for her 2nd childbirth. After the birth of the baby, family planning surgery was performed yesterday. Glucose was injected into Sanjana's hand and when they tried to remove it, the needle broke and got stuck into the vein of the hand.

Hospital staff and nurses told relatives that they had to be taken to Coimbatore as they could not be operated on at the hospital in Ooty. Following this, Sanjana was brought to Coimbatore Government Hospital for further treatment. The medical team led by Dr. Deepan, the vascular surgeon who examined her, successfully surgically removed the needle stuck in Sanjana's hand. Dean Dr. Nirmala said that Sanjana is currently in good health at the hospital.
