Corporation officials have fined roadside vendors for doing business in violation of restrictions imposed by Tirupur district administration.

As part of this, the district collector had imposed various restrictions in Tirupur district since last week. Shops were ordered to close during the holidays in areas where the public is more likely to gather. Accordingly, most of the business establishments in Tirupur district today, apart from the essential shops, were completely closed.
Meanwhile, on the road opposite the Tirupur Nanjappa School, roadside vendors were setting up shops and doing business violating ban by the district administration. Thus the public gathered there in large numbers.
Tirupur North police and corporation officials who arrived there fined more than 20 shopkeepers with 500 rupees each for violating the district administration's order and ordered the immediate sealing of the shops.
