DMK cadres paid homage to the late Chief Minister Kalaignar Karunanidhi by garlanding his portrait at the DMK office located at the Ganapathy No. 3 bus stand, behind the Gopalsamy Temple. The event was chaired by Circle Secretary Shanthi Panneerselvam. Responsible committee member Ganapathy Sampath Kumar spearheaded the event.
Responsible committee member Ganapathy Murugesh, Area Youth Wing Deputy Organizer Jagadish, Representative Thanigaivel, Student Wing Secretary Dharma and party executives Subhash, Stephenraj, Satishkumar, Ganapathy Karthi, RDR Karthi, Paul Vincent, Ganapathy Sasidharan, Sasikumar, Manikandan, Matheswaran and over a 100 cadres, including Rajan, attended the event.
Chicken biryani was served to the poor and needy in the area. Many attended and benefited with the welfare assistance provided. Similarly, in the evening, DMK and locals in the area congregated together, lit candles and paid a silent tribute to the late former CM of Tamil Nadu, Kalaignar Karunanidhi.
