Three shops robbed in a row in Pollachi-Udumalai road Chinnampalayam area last night: Mahalingapuram police investigate

Coimbatore: There are more than 10 shops operating in the commercial complex near the Udumalai National Highway in the Chinnampalayam area near Pollachi.

Merchants closed their shops as usual last night and left. When they returned in the morning to open they were shocked to find that the locks on 3 shops in a row had been broken. Upon entering, it was revealed that the money in the cash register had been stolen by unidentified individuals. The Mahalingapuram police were immediately informed about this.



Police in the first phase of the investigation revealed that Rs 5,000 was stolen from Vaisakhar's cooling seat, Rs 12,000 from Yaseen's soup shop and Rs 2,000 from Kumar's grocery store. Following the complaint lodged by the shop owners, the Mahalingapuram police have registered a case and are searching for unidentified persons. Residents and traders in the area are alarmed by the theft, which took place in a densely populated area.
