394 cases have been registered and 3051 kg of tobacco products in the Coimbatore District have been seized in 3 Police Station in the last 2 months.
In a press release he said, "Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police on the orders of Selvanagarathnam arrested and seized 3051 kgs of tobacco products in the border areas of Karumathampatti, Sulur and Kovilpalayam during the last two months. In addition, 394 cases have been registered and action has been taken against the sale of illicit tobacco products across the Coimbatore district.
