Coimbatore: Coimbatore International Airport offers airline services to people from seven districts, in and around Coimbatore.

In the Air Cargo office located at the airport premises, different types of cargo are booked and transported to different parts of the country and abroad. There are domestic flights from Coimbatore to various destinations. But in the international aviation sector, there are only flights to countries like Sri Lanka, Singapore and Sharjah.

The 'Bonded Trucking Service' has been launched by Air India at airports that do not have many airline services to foreign countries. The goods will be transported by truck from Coimbatore to airports including Bangalore and Kochi and from there to various countries by air. Currently, for the first time in India, Air India has launched a 'Bonded Trucking Service' at its Air Cargo premises in Coimbatore.

Air India Area Marketing Manager, Girija, Coimbatore Air Cargo Assistant General Manager, Subramanian and many others were present at the event held at Coimbatore Airport. Due to the launch of this unique service, exports from Coimbatore will be transported by truck to cities including Kochi, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Mumbai and from there to various foreign destinations on behalf of Air India.

Air India's initiative is loaded with great benefit to exporters using Coimbatore Airport. It is to be noted that this service has been launched in Coimbatore for the first time in India on behalf of an airline like 'Air India,' since Bonded Trucking Service is already in operation at Coimbatore Airport by a private company.
