108 ambulance crew in Coimbatore lauded for returning Rs.35,000 and documents of an accident victim
Coimbatore: Vivekanandasamy, a resident of Makkinampatti near Pollachi in Coimbatore district was travelling from Pollachi to Coimbatore on a two-wheeler on the night of July 3 when he stumbled and fell down in Arasampalayam Pirivu, near Kinathukadavu.
Upon information, 108 ambulance personnel rescued Vivekanandasamy who was unconscious and rushed him to the Coimbatore Government Hospital for treatment. But Vivekanandasamy died on Wednesday morning succumbing to his injuries. Vivekanandasamy had been found on the road by the ambulance crew with Rs. 35,790 in cash, a gold ring, mobile phone, pan card and license which were duly handed over to the hospital by the ambulance crew.

After Vivekanandasamy's demise, doctors handed over the money and documents to his kin. Doctors, police and the public lauded the 108 ambulance crew who were responsible for safely retrieving the valuables from the accident victim and handing them over to the hospital to be given to the kin.
