Coimbatore: An auto driver has been arrested for making a death threat to a North Indian pani puri shopkeeper in Pollachi.
Kishore Saurasia (32), a resident of Pollachi Ranga Samudra area in Coimbatore district, runs a Panipuri shop near the railway gate of Bhadrakaliamman Kovil Road. Prakash from Periyar Colony, Kottur Road, Pollachi, who came to the Panipuri shop in an auto at 8 pm last night, bought and ate mushrooms from the shop.
The Panipuri shopkeeper asked for money from the auto driver who did not pay for the gallon he ate. But the auto driver, Prakash, refused to pay, abused and threatened to kill him. Panipuri shop owner Kishore Saurasia lodged a complaint at the East police station. Based on the complaint, the police arrested Prakash, the auto driver who made the death threat, and filed a case against him and sent him to jail.
