Coimbatore District Collector's order to open grocery tea and vegetable shops from 6 am to 5 pm Government Tasmac has been allowed to open all other shops from 10 am to 5 pm today.

As today is Aadi Perukku, the Forest Department along with the Health Department inspected the vehicles coming to Valparai at the Forest Department check post on the way to Valparai to control the arrival of tourists. The coronavirus test report is examined and vaccinations are also examined.
If this certificate is not available tourists are asked to return. Thus tourist arrivals are declining. Roads to Valparai in the ninth hairpin bend and Monkey Falls are closed to tourists as all the shops in Valparai are closed and the place seems deserted.
