In an initiative to empower women, Tamil Nadu gets its 'First Female Backhoe Operator' from Coimbatore; Team is set to train 100 women across Tamil Nadu


Coimbatore: In a noble initiative to empower women, Mahindra & Mahindra, the authorized distributors in Coimbatore introduced Tamil Nadu's first Female Backhoe Operator. Also, the team will train a 100 women operators in the field of handling heavy vehicles.



"SARU Syndicate proudly introduces “ 'Angala Eswari' - The first female backhoe operator in Tamil Nadu. She deserves to be called the first female backhoe operator in Tamil Nadu because she has the ability, punctuality and hard work towards her profession. She prefers this profession as her passion. She may shine like a star in the future. It is not an unusual thing but a great deal to enrich women empowerment. She will be a great supporter to uplift our concern to reach the next level," stated the company's official press release.

Speaking about women empowerment, entrepreneurs Rukumani Samiappan and Bharathi Sakti Balaji stated, "We are training more women to enroll in the Backhoe operator works which will develop the women community. We aim to change this idea of women who are only supposed to work in the house into women should go out, shine and be what they want. Over 1/3rd of the entrepreneurial ventures are run by women entrepreneurs. Due to economic progress, better access to education, urbanization, spread of liberal and democratic culture. and recognition by society, there has been a spurt in women entrepreneurship in India," they opined.
