The DMK government has made various arrangements to celebrate the event in a grand manner. A few days ago, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin visited Delhi and invited the President for the Centenary celebrations. The President accepted the invitation and arrived in Chennai. Following this, he participated in various shows. He also unveiled a portrait of late Kalaignar in the assembly.
Sulur DMK cadres commemorated the event by distributing sweets to all the people in the area and gifted them potraits of Kalaignar.
