MNM President, Kamal Haasan DMK government acts in partisan toward Coimbatore people, there should be only people's participation in local elections
Coimbatore: In his briefing with the media on arrival at Coimbatore, Makkal Needhi Maiam President, Kamal Haasan thanked the people who voted honestly for MNM.
"I have come to Coimbatore to salute them for keeping up with democracy. In Coimbatore, the cancellation of public events was done keeping in mind the welfare of people. The ruling party is acting in the interest of the people and had not put any pressure on them," he added.
"Kongunadu is only a political slogan and people of Coimbatore are seeing a division in the allocation of schemes. Also, there should only be people's participation in local elections. Like the East Indian Company, the North Indian Company is being prepared in the North and the BJP is playing a double role in the Megadattu case.
The ruling party is doing what it can to control Covid-19 and more can be done. I have learnt about failure in cinema as well. The people of Coimbatore have given us hope. Our task is to restore our lost political stand. Not fulfilling promises made during the election is not new to the parties in Tamil Nadu," he added taking a dig at the political crossfire of parties in Tamil Nadu.
