District Health Department bans outsiders from entering Valparai

Coimbatore: With the impending onset of the third wave of the Covid pandemic, the District Health Department has banned outsiders from entering the Valparai area.


Coimbatore: With the impending onset of the third wave of the Covid pandemic, the District Health Department has banned outsiders from entering the Valparai area.

The district administration had advised the Health Department to beef up safety measures to curd any spread of a third wave of Covid-19 and hence security was intensified at the Attakatti Azhiyar Aqueduct Checkpoint.

Checkpoints on Nadu Hill Road, Kamaraj Nagar, Stanmore Road and Moody's Road will be reopened to control the movement of people in Valparai. The checkpoints will be monitored by the Health Department, the Municipal Revenue Department and the Police. Babu Lakshmanan, Chief Physician, Valparai Regional Resource Center reassured the public that all the departments would work together to ensure tht the public strictly adhere to the restrictions announced by the Government.
