Coimbatore: The incidence of coronavirus epidemic is increasing in the state of Kerala. Thus, social activists have demanded that Pollachi should intensify surveillance in the areas next Tamil Nadu-Kerala border.
The daily corona epidemic in the state of Kerala is over 20,000. Surveillance has been intensified in the border areas of Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
In particular, there are 13 check posts in Coimbatore district, Pollachi, Govindapuram, Gopalapuram and Meenatchipuram adjoining Kerala.
Police are actively monitoring all the check posts. Only e-registered vehicles are allowed in Tamil Nadu.
Similarly, medical personnel are allowed to come from the state of Kerala only if they undergo a body heat test and bring the relevant documents.
The two states need to restrict traffic as the corona epidemic is currently on the rise in Coimbatore district. Social activists have called for more intensification of surveillance across state borders.
