Request to expedite road works from Hope College to Vilankurichi in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: The road from Hope College to Vilankurichi in Singanallur constituency is in a very bad condition.
During the last regime, Rs 10 crore was allocated for this in the special road project and bhoomi Pooja was done to start the work. Currently the work order has been cancelled. With half the work from CODISSIA road to the S-Bend completed, that too has stalled. It was therefore requested that in the interest of the public it should be ordered to expedite the works on a wartime basis.
Work on the SIHS Colony Railway Overpass (LC-4) was halted due to a lawsuit filed against the service road. The case is now over and work should be started immediately and completed expeditiously. Therefore, the District Collector was asked to call the landowners to build an equal road on both sides, pay the appropriate compensation and start and complete the work immediately.
