2 injured in a dispute over paying bike due: Police investigates case filed against 5 men
Coimbatore: In Coimbatore, two persons were seriously injured in a dispute between two persons while reprimanding for failing to pay motorcycle due from a private bank.
Police have registered a case against 5 people and are investigating. Loganathan (32) is the son of Chellakutty, who works for a private company in the Goldwyns area of Avinashi Road, Coimbatore. He had borrowed Rs 27,000 for his bike from a private bank in RS Puram. It is said that 5 thousand rupees has not been paid for the last 17 months.
Two people who came from the bank yesterday went to the company where Loganathan works and asked them to call Loganathan and asked him to give the money. Loganathan said that he would pay the money online and asked for a loan termination certificate. The two who had come from the bank got into a dispute with Loganathan. At the end of the argument, they spoke inappropriate words and beat Loganathan and pushed him down.
Suresh, who was working with Loganathan at the time, tried to stop the fight. Loganathan and Suresh, who was injured in the incident, was rushed to a private hospital.
A case has been registered against Vignesh and Aswin, who had come from the bank based on a complaint lodged by Loganathan. Similarly case has been lodged against Loganathan and three others with the Peelamedu police alleging that the bank employees had assaulted them while they were on their way to collect the loan. The police have registered two cases and are investigating.
