Coimbatore: Special surveillance is being carried out at various places in Coimbatore by the Coimbatore District Police. 3 kg of ganja, 4 mobile phones and 2 motorcycles were seized from three youth who were selling ganja near Mahadevapuram.
On the instructions of Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police, Selvanagarathinam, a Sub-Inspector Tilak on patrol near Mahadevapuram under Mettupalayam police station, arrested three youth identified as Deepak Raj, Mohammad Bilal and Dheenadayalan for illegally selling ganja and seized 4 kg of ganja from them. Two motorcycles and Rs. 4000 were also confiscated. The District Superintendent of Police has ordered authorities to take stern action against those involved in illegal activities.
