Coimbatore: Locals were treated to a spectacle across the sky as a rainbow suddenly appeared in Kinathukadavu.
The southwest monsoon has brought in heavy rains to Kinathukadavu in Coimbatore district for the last few days. Even as rainfall receded in the district, there was cloud cover over Kinathukadavu, Kovilpalayam, and Thamaraikulam areas, since Thursday morning.
Even as rains resumed in Kovilpalayam and Thamaraikulam areas this evening, a rainbow suddenly appeared in the sky in the eastern part and was seen in the sky for about an hour.
Motorists on the Pollachi-Coimbatore National Highway and the people of Kinathukadavu, Thamaraikkulam, and Kovilpalayam areas delighted in the sudden colourful spectacle after days of incessant rains.
