Coimbatore: Police held an awareness meeting near Kinathukadavu to prevent crimes against girls. Kinathukadavu police are raising awareness among women in various places to prevent crimes against women and girls only.
As part of this, an awareness meeting was held today on behalf of the police to prevent crimes against women and girls in the Kovilpalayam Kaliyannanpudur area near Kinathukadavu.
Led by Kinathukadavu Police Station Inspector (Responsible) Jayakumar, the awareness meeting was attended by female Chief Constable Kavitha, social activist Shakthi Saranya and Constable Bhavatharani to create awareness among the women present on the prevention of crimes against women and girls.
Parents need to monitor when girls use cell phones. The meeting also stressed the need for parents to educate their children about sexual violence.
