BSNL employees in Coimbatore go on hunger strike
Coimbatore: The All Unions and Associations of BSNL (AUAB) call for a nationwide strike in India to defend BSNL was held yesterday at the office of the Chief General Manager in Coimbatore.
Many staff from BSNL participated in the protest.
Their demands were that:
1. BSNL should immediately launch 4G service by upgrading BTS and take steps to launch 5G services.
2. Pay on the shop day of each month.
3. BSNL should not attempt to monetize tons of optical fiber and towers as planned by the Government of India / Ministry of Finance.
4. BSNL should immediately release Rs 39,000 crore due to DOT .
5. By monetizing the vacant lands, BSNL should take immediate steps to repay the tonnage of loans.
6. The cluster system of outsourcing should be fully reconsidered.
7. 3rd pay change, pension change and 30 percent retirement benefits for directly hired employees should be addressed immediately.
8. BSNL should take swift action to improve the quality of tons of FTTH service.
9. BTS should be properly maintained , power plants should be maintained properly: Ensure the presence of batteries.
10. TRANSMISSION NETWORK should be strengthened .
