Coimbatore: The roof of the weighbridge which collapsed due to heavy rains in the Valparai Manika Estate in N C area left several women workers injured.
The Valparai AIADMK Municipal Council Secretary, Mayil Ganesan and other key officials of the party visited the injured women workers at the hospital and comforted them. He further said that he would take up the matter with the concerned executive officers regarding their medical treatment and take appropriate action to ensure proper occupational safety for plantation workers, as well as keep MLA Amul Kandasamy informed.
