Coimbatore: Vocational training camp was held in Valparai on behalf of Tamil Nadu Rural Livelihood Mission. On behalf of the Valparai Municipality, Coimbatore District, a Vocational Training Meeting for Women Self Help Group was held under the chairmanship of Municipality Commissioner Suresh Kumar and in the presence of Deputy Collector Ramesh Kumar.
It was attended by more than 60 women self-help groups operating in the Valparai area. Each group was started as a group of 12 or 15 members and provided financial assistance to the Government Self Help Group for the production of handicrafts such as tea cultivation, mushroom cultivation, dessert making, vocational basket weaving, sewing, candle making, chocolate making, etc. of the Tamil Nadu State Rural Livelihood Mission. The meeting was held to uplift the livelihood of the people.

It was attended by Deputy District Collector Ramesh Kumar, Women's Project Development Specialist Gomathi, Valparai Municipality Commissioner Suresh Kumar, Community Coordinator Vasuki, Municipality Health Inspector Selvaraj, Municipal Officers, staff, and more than 200 women self-help group members.
