The 13-year-old son of a relative who came home for Bakrid festival in Tirupur has died after being electrocuted when he unexpectedly touched a power line.
Coimbatore: The 13-year-old son of a relative who came home for Bakrid festival in Tirupur has died after being electrocuted when he unexpectedly touched a power line. Shahjahan and Mumtaz are a couple from Kerala. Their younger sister Mubeena came to live in Tirupur. He brought his brother's 2 daughters and son Alsabid Bakrid festiva for his brother's house in Kombai garden, Tirupur. Meanwhile, boys and girls were playing on the terrace of Mubina's house yesterday.
At that time, Alsabid unexpectedly touched the power line that was lying very low. He was electrocuted and immediately his relatives rushed him to a private hospital for treatment but he succumbed to his died. Upon information, the Tirupur South Police seized the boy's body and sent it to the Tirupur District Government General Hospital for autopsy.

It is to be noted that earlier two were rescued with severe injuries after electrocution in the same area and now the death of the boy has caused a tragedy. The public in the area have demanded that the Electricity Board immediately take note and replace the low lying power lines.
