Santhosh Kumar who hailed from Thiruvarur district was working in a private knitwear company on Tirupur College Road.
Murugeshwari, who was already working in the same company was living with her son in Tirupur. The woman's son Arokiyaraj and his friend Balasubramanian reportedly went to Santosh Kumar's house on College Road three days ago and took him away.
For the next three days, Santosh Kumar has not been in contact with his Tirupur company and parents in Thiruvarur. Santosh Kumar's parents and relatives from Thiruvarur reportedly enquired in the neighborhood and discovered that Arokiyaraj and his friend had taken him away.
Following this, Santosh Kumar's parents lodged a complaint at the Veerapandi police station. The police arrested Arokiaraj and Balasubramanian. Arokiyaraj confessed that he was enraged by the illicit relationship of his mother and other money issues between his mother and Santosh Kumar, he and his friend Balasubramanian had killed Santosh Kumar and burnt his remains in the Kallangadu rock pit. Following this, the police went to the rock pit and recovered the Santosh Kumar's burnt corpse and sent it for autopsy.
