Chief Engineer inspects railway electric lines installation works between Podanur-Kinathukadavu-Pollachi
Coimbatore: In Coimbatore district, Podanur-Kinathukadavu-Pollachi broad gauge electric lines installation work which began in 2019 has been completed upto 80 percent. Sunil, Chief Engineer, Southern Railway Signal and Telecommunications and Salem and Palakkad Divisional Signal and Telecommunication Officers inspected the work today.

The officials inspected the signal and telecommunication at the railway crossing and railway stations from Podanur to Pollachi via Kinathukadavu. Railway Department sources said that the report of the ongoing study has been submitted to the Southern Railway Safety Commissioner and a test run of the electric train is scheduled to take place by the end of this month. Podanur Railway Station Division Officers Tamilselvan, Maji, Haji and many other Railway Department officials were present during the inspection.
