The Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police Selva Nagarathnam has imposed fines on tipper trucks carrying more stones than allowed by the Government in the Kinathukadavu area.
For the past two days, the police have been conducting raids at the Veerappagavundanur police check post near Kinathukadavu. Police were still conducting raids after levying a hefty fine on five tipper trucks for overloading, on Tuesday. At that time, the police imposed a fine of Rs.1.52 lakhs on five tipper trucks for carrying more stones than stipulated by the Government.
