MP P R Natarajan to protest with adjournment motion in Parliament due to increase in fuel prices

Coimbatore: Due to a continuous hike in fuel prices, the comman man has been adversely impacted.

The Marxist Communist Party MP, P R Natarajan has moved an adjournment motion to discuss the fuel price hike at the spring session of the Parliament which began last Monday.

The adjournment motion read, "Despite the decline in the price of crude oil in the international market in the last two decades, the prices of petroleum products have been hiked by raising excise duties. The prices of petroleum products have risen to unprecedented levels in the country and ordinary people are suffering. I urge the government to issue a white paper on such large-scale tax evasion."
