As part of this, the Coimbatore District Police has introduced the 181 hotline to prevent crimes against women and children. An awareness meeting on behalf of the Kinnathukadavu Police was held at the Kinathukkadavu Municipal Community Hall to create awareness among women on the prevention of crimes against women and children. Led by Assistant Inspector Ganesh Murthy of Kinnathukadavu Police Station. The meeting was attended by female Chief Constable Kavitha, Constable Bhavatharani and social activist Shakthi Saranya to create awareness among women.
Incidents such as sexual harassment, domestic violence against women and dowry abuse can be reported by contacting the helpline number 181 introduced by the police. The meeting also stressed the need for parents to monitor online classes as sexual harassment of women through online classes is on the rise.
