Corporation Commissioner inspects North Zone for coronavirus prevention activities

The Corporation Commissioner inspected the office of the Health Inspector at Avarampalayam under Ward No.40, Coimbatore Zone, North Zone and inspected the attendance records of the sanitary workers in the office.



He said, "Sanitary workers must be on time for work. When collecting garbage, compostable garbage should be collected separately and non-compostable garbage should be collected separately. Canals should be cleaned to remove debris trapped in the rainwater drainage canals so that the water does not stagnate. All cleaners must work wearing a mask, should use disinfectants and everyone should be vaccinated.

Following this, the Commissioner informed the field workers who were carrying out coronavirus prevention work at the Avarampalayam Health Inspector's office premises, ''When going from door-to-door diagnosing colds, flu, cough, shortness of breath, body temperature, oxygen levels, the presence of mucus, fever must record it in the survey records. If they test positive they should immediately inform the coronavirus control room and health officials. Everyone at home should be tested for colds, flu and coughs. All must wear face masks, use disinfectants and must be vaccinated"

He said, "Field workers should inform the public to remove unwanted broken plastic items, tires, coconut shells, broken jugs and useless items in their homes to prevent mosquito-borne diseases. Water tanks kept in the houses should be kept covered to prevent water stagnation. Toilets should be kept clean‌ and we need to create adequate awareness among the public about mosquito-borne diseases."



Corporation Commissioner inspected the Ganapathy Urban Primary Health Center under North Zone, Ward No.46, and the Vellakinar Primary Health Centers under Ward No.43, and inspected recording the details of vaccinations, treatments, and maintenance on the Maternal Health Care Card for pregnant mothers and he reviewed Dr. Muthulakshmi Reddy scheme being implemented.



During the inspection, the Health Officer of the Corporation, Raja, the Assistant Commissioner, North Zone Moganasundari, Engineer Parvathy, the Assistant Engineer, Senthil Bhaskar and the Corporation Officers were present.
