Kuppusamy, the husband of Lakshmi from Palladam in Tirupur district, drove the lorry on June 20 and went to Jaipur from the company where he works. Later the company handed over his body and said he died
As Lakshmi received no help from them after her husband's death, the company said they would pay the outstanding salary and compensation for the work he had done. As Lakshmi is unable to survive with her children and mother-in-law due to poverty, Lakshmi filed a petition with the District Collector's Office, demanding immediate action against the company and recovering the compensation amount that is due to them.
