Since his appointment as the District Superintendent of Police in Coimbatore, Selvanagarathnam has been setting up and arresting individuals who may be involved in anti-social activities and drug dealing throughout the district. Five people were arrested today for selling lottery tickets, gambling and selling ganja. Their belongings were confiscated.
Police said, "On orders of Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police Selvanagarathnam the police conducted inspection in the entire Coimbatore district. The following cases were booked.
Ganja case

Gambling cases

Tobacco cases

The above cases were registered and action was taken. The District Superintendent of Police has issued an order to the authorities to take stern action against persons involved in illegal activities.
