A workshop for marines and their families was held on July 17 as part of a joint celebration of Indian Independence and Swarnim Vijay Anniversary. The main objectives of the event were to emphasize the need to maintain cleanliness, especially on how to maintain a hygienic environment during the current Covid-19 period.

The celebrations were held to mark the 50th anniversary of the Indo-Pakistani military victory. The event emphasized the need for a strong India.

During the event, VSM Commodore Ashok Roy, Commanding Officer, INS Agrani, opened three open-air gyms for the use of naval personnel and their families.
Speaking on the occasion, the Commanding Officer said, "The Agrani administration is committed to protecting the environment and started numerous green initiatives in all its infrastructure and social life. He said the impact of the 'naval community' at this event where the navy keeps the environment clean has created a sense of pride among all naval personnel. Women and children enthusiastically participated in the event.
As part of the event, an online seminar on Swachh Bharat and milestones of the Indian Independence struggle was held at the Navy Children's School. Teachers and students alike contributed to the event.
