On the orders of Tiruppur Commissioner of Police Vanitha, under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Arvind, under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner of the North Vetrivendan, police inspectors Ganesan (Tiruppur North), Anand (Anupparpalayam) and police personnel were assigned to Koothampalayam J.P. A house in the city was reported to be used in prostitution.
Following this, the personnel conducted a raid on the house concerned yesterday. Then it came to light that prostitution was taking place in that house. Police rescued three women, aged 45, 25 and 21, from there.

They also nabbed Vasant (41) of Palladam Arulpuram and Vignesh (21) of Siddharth Patti in Theni district for engaging in prostitution. The investigation revealed that they called clients in the name of a massage center and engaged in prostitution at home. Following this, Vasant and Vignesh were arrested and 2 cell phones were confiscated from them.
The rescued women were handed over to the police in custody. Deputy Commissioner Arvind lauded the personnel who performed well. He later told reporters that the curfew was over in the Tirupur metropolitan area and businesses were on the move. There are constant complaints of prostitution in the name of massage center as it is a labor-intensive area.
