Tirupur Police Commissioner Vanitha delivered the keynote address at the promotion camp. About 150 transgender people attended the camp.
The promotion camp highlighted the special programs provided by the government for transgender people, job opportunities for them to avoid being involved in crime in the community and opportunities to live well in the community through the police.
In addition, about 30 transgender people from Banyan Export Companies were trained and helped to find employment in their company. The event was attended by police officials and government employees.
