Former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa's portrait should be placed in the assembly: AIADMK members insist at Kinathukadavu Panchayat Union Committee meeting.
Coimbatore: Coimbatore District Kinathukadavu Panchayat Union Committee Meeting was held at the Panchayat Union Office Meeting Hall.

The meeting was chaired by Panchayat Union Committee Chairman Nagarani and was presided over by Union Committee Deputy Chairman Durai.
Kinathukadavu Commissioner Ganesan gave a welcome address. Union Councilors spoke at the meeting and said, "5 months ago the village panchayats filed a petition seeking approval for houses and the villagers are still suffering without getting approval hence action should be taken immediately. The public in rural areas should be vaccinated without shortage. The portrait of former chief minister Jayalalithaa should be placed in the assembly. The overhead tank at Devanampalayam Puthu Colony is in danger of collapsing and needs to be repaired and under the Jal Jeevan project, every village should be provided with drinking water connection without any discrimination."
DMK Union Councillors said, "During the AIADMK rule, the portrait of the former chief minister Kalaignar was not displayed in the union committee meeting hall. That is why there is a protest that the image of Chief Minister Jayalalithaa should not be placed.

Union Councilors LJJ Jagan, Kavitha, Kalamani, Mahendran, Manjula Kaliammal, Kalamani Varatharajan, Ramasamy, Rajeswari, Vasanthi, Vallinayakam, Thennarasu, Sathiyabhama, Kalaikumar and various departmental officials were present. Regional Development Officer (Panchayats) Vivekanandan delivered the vote of thanks
