Coimbatore: In view of the 'Covid-19' Pandemic outbreak, Coimbatore based “Swamis Masala” distributed 4,000 Grocery Kits to various slums and needy people in Coimbatore district recently and continued the service.
In a press release issued by 'Swamis Masala'," As a part of the individual social responsibility and considering the current situation of the “COVID-19” pandemic outbreak, many needy people are losing livelihoods and basic amenities. So based on the need, under a social initiative, we have started to distribute about 4,000 Grocery Kits, worth Rs.500 per kit, across various slums and needy spots of Coimbatore. The Swamis Masala kit consists ofBoiled rice, Wheat flour, ragi flour, chilly powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, sambar powder.
We feel it would be extremely needful to provide this Grocery support to them during this pandemic period, so that they can overcome their everyday challenges with all support and contributions. As prolonged shut down of various industries due the lockdown period, the essential kit bags are being distributed in the month of June 2021 - July 2021 in and around the areas of Coimbatore to the people in need."
"The following are the needy regions allocated for kit distribution based on the genuine verification and need according to the field survey namely Chavadi, Kuniyamuthur, Sundarapuram, Periyanaickenpalayam, Sirumugai, Chinnavedampatti, Veerapandi Pirivu, Ukkadam, Karumbukkadai, Azad Nagar, Madukkarai, Kovaipudur, Puttu Vikki Palam, Sugunapuram,Pillaiyarpuram, Kamarajapuram, Rathinapuri,Vellalore Housing Unit, Kallericheri, Mahalingapuram, Kovaipudur colony, MGR Nagar, Arivozhi Nagar, Malai Nagar, Anna Nagar, GN Mills."
