On the 13th there was a dispute between Sivakumar, a 25 year old youth from Senrampalayam area and Prabhu who was a labourer.
Prabhu's parents negotiated between the two and sent them away. On the afternoon of the 15th, it is said that Prabhu and Sivakumar had a quarrel again near the toilet in Senrapalayam area. Sivakumar took the knife hidden in it and stabbed Prabhu in the back. Prabhu was injured and rushed to the Pollachi Government Hospital for treatment.
Following a complaint lodged by Prabhu at the Kinathukadavu police station, the police registered a case against Sivakumar for stabbing him, arrested him, produced him in court and remanded him in custody.
