During the inspection, he said, field workers should create adequate awareness among the general public to prevent diseases caused by mosquitoes. Raja Gopal Sunkara, Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer of the Corporation, visited and inspected the areas of Kalapatti, Ondipudur and Udayampalayam in the East Zone of the Coimbatore Corporation today (15.07.2021).

Commissioner informed the field workers that Coimbatore Corporation East Zone in Ward Nos. 33 and 34, Kalapatti Health Inspector at the office premises, that, "When fieldworkers go door-to-door and diagnose colds, flu, coughs, shortness of breath, physical fatigue, body temperature testing, oxygen levels, etc. in the public, details must be record in the Covid-19 survey records. Everyone in the house should be tested. The field workers are performing an important task and it must be done very well. Be sure to wear a mask while working. Wash hands frequently with disinfectant. Those who have not been vaccinated should be vaccinated."
"Coronavirus infection was confirmed in six persons out of the list of persons who had bought medicines and tablets for colds, flu and cough in the areas under the Coimbatore Corporation, and in the list of persons who had bought medicines for colds and flu in the wards of the wards under 36 wards." Therefore, all the hospitals in the Corporation areas and pharmacies should be informed of the details of those suffering from cold and flu to the Corporation Health Officers and to the e-mail address [email protected] of the Corporation Corona Controller already given.
Field workers should immediately remove tires, coconut shells, broken jugs, junk, broken cement tanks, etc. from homes and the surrounding area to prevent mosquito-borne diseases. Water tanks such as overhead tanks and sumps should be covered with mosquito repellent and insect repellent. Adequate awareness should be created among the public to remove the water that is stagnated in the flower pots filled with water and the bottom tray, the bottom tray of the refrigerator.

He visited and inspected the wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 60 MLT at Ondipudur area under Ward No.61.

He then inspected the homeless dogs at the Neutering Center near the Ondipudur and inquired about the proper medical and maintenance methods for the dogs.

He inspected Udayampalayam, Ward No.66, Karuvalur, Mariamman Temple, Street, Apartment, Residential Area and Garbage Collection and if it is separated as compostable and non-compostable.

City Engineer A. Lakshmanan, East Zone Assistant Commissioner Murugan, Project Engineers Babu, Saravanakumar (Smart City), Zonal Health Officer Chandran and Corporation officials were present during the inspection.
