Upon investigation, the police found he had consumed poison after being depressed over being seperated from his wife.
Kovilpalayam police had received information that a male body was found in the forest near a TASMAC outlet in Kurumbapalayam area. Based on this, the police rushed to the spot, recovered the corpse and investigated the cause of death.
It was found that Ganesan (42), son of Raju of Kurumbapalayam North Road, Coimbatore had been working as an architect and living with his mother since his wife had seperated from him, over a decade ago. Ganesan reportedly consumed poison and ended his life two days ago. Kovilpalayam police have registered a case and are investigating.
