Six people, who hacked a person to death in a clash over a cricket match in Coimbatore, have surrendered in a Coimbatore JM-2 criminal court today.

Karthik (31) is from Udayampalayam area next to Peelamedu in Coimbatore. Karthik reprimanded Selva on the 8th for allegedly assaulting his brother Surya during a cricket match three months ago. It is said that Karthik had slandered Selva while the two were inebriated. Selva told his friends about the incident. Immediately 7 people including Selva on 5 bikes went in search of Karthik with weapons including knife scythe.
When they saw Karthik near the Udayampalayam Mariamman temple, they attacked him and fled from there. The CCTV footage went viral on social media. Karthik was admitted to a private hospital in Mettupalayam Road for treatment.
Peelamedu police have registered a case and arrested Arvind (20) of Peelamedu Pudur in connection with the case, produced him in court and remanded him in custody. The main accused in the case, Selvaperumal, Manoj, Nandagopal, Jayaraj, Praveen and Aswin, surrendered in the Coimbatore JM-2 criminal court today while the police were searching for the gang.
