The Nadumalai river near the town of Valparai has flooded. Due to continuous rains in Valparai area, there is a risk of flooding in the areas of Anna Nagar, MGR Nagar, Vazhaithottam, Dhobi Colony on the banks of the river.
Areas of Kamaraj Nagar, Gaggan Colony Children's Park are at risk of flooding due to floods in the Puthuthottam River. With this in mind, the Valparai Revenue Department has set up a temporary camp at the Government Men's High School.
