The panchayat administration selected the occupied government land to build a health center in the area. But officials led by Coimbatore District Deputy Collector Saranya inspected the site today following Thangavel's protest against evacuation.
The Revenue Department today demolished a building built in the area as Thangavel used the state land for commercial purposes. Shanmugam, a village assistant who went to the roof of the building, fell down as the tile broke and was injured. Revenue officials took him to a hospital for first aid. This caused a stir in that area
