Two persons, including a ganja dealer, have been arrested and jailed in the last few days in connection with the murder and ganja trade in the Karumathampatti area of Coimbatore and case was registered under the Goondas Act
Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police Selva Nagarathnam has recommended action against Murugan (38) and Veerasami (47), who were involved in a series of ganja sales in the area within the boundaries of the Karumathampatti police station in Coimbatore district, and Veerasami (47), who was convicted for murder in the Alandurai police station. District Collector Sameeran IAS issued an order to take action against the culprits under the Goondas Act and Murugan and Veerasamy were arrested and imprisoned.
