Coimbatore: The Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner, Raja Gopal Sunkara inspected the Covid-19 prevention works being carried out by frontline workers in the Central Zone of the Corporation. He also inspected the VOC Zoo in the Central Zone of Coimbatore Corporation.
He urged workers to conduct door-to-door tests for cold, fever, cough, detection of body temperature, body oxygen levels and to record their details in the Covid-19 survey records. He also urged everyone to work well, wear masks, sanitize hands frequently and get vaccinated.

He said the public should be advised to dispose of tires, old plastics and coconut shells to prevent mosquito-borne diseases due to the prevailing rainy conditions. He also asked them to advise the public to dispose of water in the sinks, water drums, tray under the flowerpots and water tanks once in three days to prevent breeding of mosquitoes.

The Corporation Commissioner also told the workers that the water drums and water tanks must be sprayed with mosquito repellents. The Central Zonal Assistant Commissioner, Sivasubramaniam, Zonal Health Officer, Radhakrishnan, Health Inspector, Aravind and Corporation officials were present during the inspection.
