Coimbatore: A youth was arrested in POCSO after he peeped in to the bathroom while a girl was taking a bath near Kuniyamuthur in Coimbatore.
Bharath Krishna, 20, of Itteri Road, Sugunapuram, Coimbatore, works in a cell phone shop. He often peeps while a 13-year-old girl takes a bath. The girl then cried to her mother about the incident. The enraged girl's parents and locals grabbed Bharath Krishna and beat him up.
The youth was seriously injured and the girl's mother then lodged a complaint with the Kuniyamuthur police.
Police Inspector Periyar investigated the complaint and arrested Bharath Krishna under the POCSO Act. Meanwhile, police rushed Bharath Krishna, who was injured in the attack by the girl's parents and the public, to the Coimbatore Government Hospital for treatment.
Following this, the police registered a case against 4 persons including the girl's father and arrested them for assaulting the boy. The incident caused a stir in the area for some time.
